- How do I pay for items / what payment methods do you accept?
- We accept most Credit and Debit Cards (MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, Solo, Discover) as well as PayPal and Google Checkout.
- How long does delivery take?
- We ship all items by Royal Mail First Class post so items should be with you within 1-3 days of your order being placed. In practice most items will turn up the following day. Courier deliver can be chosen to speed the order up as long as the items are in stock.
- Why is UK delivery only free on orders over £75?
- As a reward to our customers for large orders we offer free delivery to UK mainland. No matter how much you order it will be free delivery! After you have completed your order, if it is over £75 then free shipping will be available as a delivery option.
- What's this newsletter thing all about?
- The PartyShowroom newsletter is sent monthly and will keep you up to date on the latest news, reminders of upcoming events, ideas for parties and will also contain exclusive offers and discounts. You'll kick yourself if you don't sign up !
- How secure is the PartyShowroom site? Are my payment details safe?
- Extremely safe ! All your personal details (name, billing address etc) are sent to our server using 128-bit encryption which means that only we can read them. Your payment details (credit or debit card numbers etc) are even safer because we don't even see them. They are sent using the same security technology (128-bit encryption) to our Payment Processors (Paypal or Google checkout) where they are used to carry out the transaction and are then destroyed. All we get told is whether the transaction completed succesfully or not.
- Why is your site so slow?
- We do try to keep the site running as smoothly as possible but sometimes there are glitches that slow things down. However, before you report the problem to us it's worth checking to see if the problem is at your end. To do this, visit another site which is hosted in the United Kingdom such as Invisible-Auctions.com. If that is also slow then it's a problem with your Internet Service Provider.
- If it's not then it's a problem with our server. It may be worth waiting a few minutes and trying again as often these glitches are temporary.
- It would be helpful if you could report the problem to us using our Contact Us form. Please tell the date and time that you had the problem so that we can check with our web host.
- Why didn't I receive an order confirmation email?
- Whenever an order is placed or it's status changes (for example when we despatch it) we send out an email to let you know. The most common reason for this emails not to get through to your inbox is because they've got held up by your spam filters.
- If you haven't received these email please link first in your spam or trash filters. To prevent emails from us being held up in the future we'd recommend that you add our domain name (partyshowroom.co.uk) to your list of allowed senders (also known as your whitelist).
- I'm not sure if my order went through or not... how can I tell?
- If you haven't received an email from us confirming your order then it may be because emails from us are getting blocked. To fix this, see the answer to this question ('Why didn't I receive an order confirmation email?').
- If you're still not receiving emails from us you can still find out if your order went through as long as you've registered an account with us. Simply log in and check your order history. If the order went through it will be shown together with its status. If the order is shown as 'Processing' or 'Complete' then everything is fine and it will soon be on its way to you.
- If, on the other hand, the order is showing 'Awaiting Card Transaction' or anything else, give us a call on 01685 720010 and we'll fix it as soon as you can.
- How do I redeem a coupon against my order?
- If you have a discount coupon (we usually send them to our newsletter subscribers so there's a good reason to sign up to our newsletter) simple enter the code into the box on the checkout page and click the 'Apply Coupon' button.
- The page will reload and a message will let you know that the discount was applied against your order.
